Qualifications:
BS/BA Degree preferred
3+ years of outside sales experience in print, radio, or online sales
Proven track record of generating new business and new clients
Outstanding prospecting, scripting and lead sourcing skills
Outstanding communication, questioning, listening and relationship-building skills
Work effectively in a team environment, exerting positive influence and serving as a team resource.
Proficiency in MS Office applications: Word, Excel, Powerpoint. Strong data entry/typing skills. Comfort and familiarity with CRM systems.
Basic Functions and Responsibilities:
Boston Globe Media is seeking an aggressive results oriented outside sales representative to sell a broad range of advertising products and services to new clients. This individual will be charged with prospecting, lead generation and cold calling with the intent to open new, incremental clients to Boston Globe Media. You will utilize strategic prospecting skills, creative selling techniques, execute sales calls and bring closure to long sales cycle clients.
