Basic Functions and Responsibilities:
To design pages, sections of pages, and individual graphic elements in conjunction with editors from individual editorial departments.
Weekend and night work may be required. This position will focus on Boston.com. Responsibilities will also include designing special sections, some UX designs, developing interactive features for Boston.com and other digital platforms.
Qualifications:
Demonstrate ability to discuss content with editors; read stories involved in assignments; request photos and work with photographers during photo sessions; assign illustrations and design pages; design charts and maps; other tasks related to the above. Strong CSS and some JS skills a plus.
