Qualifications:
At least 1-2 years experience in advertising, marketing, or online media publishing.
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
Understanding of traditional and new media environments. Skilled and comfortable with web.
Proficient in Excel.
Exposure to HTML, JavaScript, and/or Flash is preferred but not required.
Demonstrated interest in web, new media, online research.
Basic Functions and Responsibilities:
Implement, maintain, and monitor advertising campaigns (display, contests, email, etc.) across Boston.com.
Check creative specs and notify client and/or Design of any necessary revisions.
Test and troubleshoot new creative.
Work with RealMedia support and internal resources to resolve any issues.
Check status of all campaigns prior to end date to ensure fulfillment.
Act as internal liaison for customer/ad hoc reporting supporting various Boston.com departments, clients, and Boston Globe contacts via the RealMedia’s OpenAdStream ad serving system.
Proactively keep Sales and Classifieds informed of advertising specs and new technologies or any changes in procedures and guidelines.
Coordinate with Tech Producers and other departments to implement new ad positions and/or ad tags.
Maintain ongoing and progressive knowledge of new advertising units and techniques for implementation.
