Qualifications: The Boston Globe is seeking an aggressive, results-oriented sales respresentative to sell a broad range of advertising products and services to advertising clients. This individual will have responsibility for increasing revenues from iexisting accounts as well as growing additional account base for their assigned category. Utilize strategic selling techniques, execute sales calls to senior executives, bring closure to long sales cycle clients and manage accounts to secure the highest level of customer service. Applicant must have demonstrated track record of new business development, consultative sales history, understanding of company branding and sales cycle execution. Proven experience using creative sales solutions and presentations that address audiences at many levels. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. 5+ years experience as a successful, consultative account executive with proven skills in selling solutions across multimedia platforms with major retail advertising clients.
Basic Functions and Responsibilities: Account Management of Major Retail Preprint customers on a $14M base book of business. Also responsible for increasing revenues from these accounts as well as growing additional account base. Utilize strategic selling techniques, execute sales calls to senior executives, bring closure to long sales cycle clients and manage accounts to secure the highest level of customer service. New business development is a must as is being creative at developing sales solutions and presentations. Must be skilled at selling across all brands/products of Boston Globe Media.
