Qualifications: 3-5 years of outside sales experience required-preferably in media sales. Must be able to work with marketing to build top notch presentations accompanied by strong presentation skills to potential customers. Must be “in the know” of the magazine landscape in Boston and beyond. Must know the competition well and be able to sell against it with strong conviction. Ideally, the candidate will run the territory as their own business having an entrepreneurial spirit.
Basic Functions and Responsibilities: Must identify and sell to non-Boston Globe Media advertisers. Cultivate new business through cold calling, analyzing competitive media and general awareness of new advertisers to the market place. 80% of goals attributed to Sunday Magazine and 2-% to Design New England.
