Qualifications: The ability to always present oneself and the Globe Media products to current and non-Globe Media advertisers in a manner that conveys a win-win situation; to ask good open and closed ended questions that identify and qualify the customers’ needs and create solutions to meet those needs; to prepare and present bundled product presentations with any product within the Boston Globe Media portfolio that best fit the customers’ needs. The ability to handle objections and to be able to close or advance the sale depending on the situation. Candidates must have a proven track record of sales success and solid understanding of advertising and marketing. Strong media sales experience in the Real Estate industry is preferred.
Basic Functions and Responsibilities: To increase revenue and market share from existing and new Real Estate and Apartment advertisers by utilizing all of the products offered by The Boston Globe Media ie: The Boston Globe Newspaper, Boston.com, Globe Direct, Worcester T&G, Even Marketing, Metro, NESN. The primary focus of this position will be in the Apartment category and requires a salesperson who is highly motivated to succeed and is very skilled at handling objections and is able to provide cost effective and creative advertising campaigns that will produce results for his/her advertisers.
