Dan has worked at The Boston Globe newspaper in the advertising sales department since 1980, Most recently in Travel advertising from 1999 through 2005.
President of The Boston Newspaper Guild since June 2005,prior to that Dan was a union delegate representing the outside advertising sales department from 2002 through 2005. Dan has represented the BNG at 4 national newspaper conventions, voting on numerous important issues directly impacting the newspaper industry.
He holds his Master of Business Administration as well as Bachelor degrees from Anna Maria College, located in Paxton, MA.
Among his labor related educational pursuits is the completion of numerous courses at The Labor Guild of the Archdiocese of Boston, as well as having completed the Harvard Law School "Program on Negotiating". Additionally , Dan attended the TNG sponsored "new officer" training school at the George Meaney Labor College in Silver Springs, Maryland, for new union representatives.
Dan lives on the South Shore, with his wife Lisa and daughter Ashley Brooke (age 6)

Scott has worked at the Boston Globe newspaper since 1984, most recently in the Publication Design & Layout Dept. He has served on the executive board since June 2002.
He holds a bachelors Degree in Bus Management from Northeastern University. His labor related educational pursuits are having attended the new officer training at the George Meaney Labor College in Silver Springs, Maryland and the Harvard Law School program on negotiating. He currently lives in Dedham, Mass and is a member on the Zoning Board of Appeals in Dedham. He is also on the board of trustees for the Franklin Typographical Society.

Patrice has worked at the Globe since 1989. She is a Marketing Assistant in the Marketing Creative Services department. She began her career working in human resources, as a benefits coordinator before her work was outsourced to the Shared Services Center in 2004.
Patrice has held the Treasurer position since 2002. Prior to that she was Recording Secretary, 2001-June 2002, Executive member At Large, February 2001-June 2001 and a department delegate for many years. She is also a Union Trustee on both the BNG/Boston Globe Employees’ Savings 401(k) Plan and BNG/Globe Taft Hartley Health Fund. Patrice took courses at the Labor Guild in Quincy and has participated in the new officers seminar at the George Meaney Labor College in Silver Springs, Maryland.
Patrice is a graduate of UMass , Boston and lives with her husband and two daughters (ages 14 and 11).

Kathie Dalton has worked at The Boston Globe as a part-timer in the Classified Advertising Department since 1995. She had also worked prior to that in the Globe Santa letter room. She has taken assignments in other departments such as Accounting and BostonWorks.
Kathie became a delegate in January 2006 and was elected to the Executive Board in February 2006. She has attended the new office training at the George Meaney Labor College as well the 2006 TNG and CWA conventions. Kathie is also a member of another Union, Millwrights Local Union #1121 as is many of her family members who hold an array of offices from delegate to international representitive. Although new to her current position with the BNG, Kathie has knowledge of unions, their workings and more importantly their importance.
Kathie has an associate’s degree from the Art Institute of Boston and freelances at Richard Advertising, a union print shop specializing in union and political signs, banners and bumper stickers. She lives in Quincy with her husband Sean a 19 year member of Laborers L.U. #223 and 2 daughters Maeve 6 and Bridget 2.

Among his awards and accomplishments is receiving the 2004 Cushing-Gavin Award from the Labor Guild, Archdiocese of Boston.
