Re: Child Care Study Committee:
Dear Steve:
This letter will confirm the parties’ agreement that following the signing and ratification of the collective bargaining agreement, they will each appoint three representatives to a Joint Child Care Study Committee which will look into the feasibility of creating a local (Dorchester) child care facility to provide convenient day care for children of bargaining unit employees. As part of its feasibility study, the committee will investigate the interest of other local businesses in participating in such an undertaking.
This committee will be advisory only and will make any mutually agreed upon recommendations to the Globe. This creation of this committee does not obligate the Globe to create an on-site or any other day care facility.
