Article VII

7.1 Strikes

A strike may be authorized by a majority of members voting by secret ballot at a general membership meeting called for that purpose.

7.1.1 Picket Lines

It shall be a violation of this Constitution for any Union officer or member to cross, or advocate crossing, a duly authorized picket line of this union.

In the event of a strike or a lockout, a strike committee shall be appointed by the Executive Committee, which shall organize a picket line and call upon the services of members.

7.2 Non-Liability of the Union

Except as is otherwise specifically provided for in this Constitution, no officer, employee or representative of the Union shall make contracts or incur liabilities for or in the name of the Union unless authorized by the Governing Board.
