Dear Boston Newspaper Guild Members;

Our colleague and union brother Thomas McCarthy, Jr. of the Boston Mailers Union - Teamsters local #1 here at The Boston Globe has lost his home and all possessions to a fire.

To assist Mr. McCarthy during this very difficult time, The Boston Newspaper Guild has sent a donation in the amount of $500 to lend our support to him and his family as he works through this tragedy.

Boston Newspaper Guild members have expressed interest in sending their own individual donations. Those interested should contact Paul Jankowski or Brendan Burke in the mailroom at:
